Junior Kindergarten – JK Book Fair; JK Family Kabbalat Shabbat
Kindergarten – Kindergarten Family Shabbat, celebrating students’ learning and their advancement to Elementary
Grade 1 – Chaggigat HaSiddur, when children receive their first siddur and celebrate learning about prayer and spirituality
Grade 2 – Chaggigat HaTorah, celebrating the start of students’ journey into the stories and wisdom of our Torah
Grade 3 – Virtual Voyage to Israel, teaching students about our Jewish homeland with an elaborate, full-day, imaginary trip
Grade 4 – “Journey through Bereshit” Torah Siyyum Celebration, celebrating students’ completion of study of the first book of the Torah
Grade 5 – Overnight at Camp Massad
Grade 6 – Grade 6 Shabbaton, celebrating a full Shabbat together at school; Grade 6 Year-end Celebration
Special High School Learning Programs

Grade 7 – two-night Outdoor Education trip to B’nai Brith Camp in Kenora, Ontario
Grade 8 – Spirit Weekend, spending a full, authentic Shabbat weekend together outside Winnipeg
Grade 9 – Spirit Weekend, spending a full, authentic Shabbat weekend together outside Winnipeg
Grade 10 – Jewish Experience Retreat, Youth Philanthropy Initiative; Optional P2G Exchange Trip to Israel
Grade 11 – Jewish Experience Retreat; Leading High School Remembrance Day and Yom HaShoah programs; Optional P2G Exchange Trip to Israel
Grade 12 – Jewish Experience Retreat, spending a full, authentic Shabbat weekend together outside Winnipeg; Holocaust and Human Right Education Trip
High School Graduation Activities

- Ethical Wills – an opportunity for students to record the legacy they wish to leave behind for fellow students
- Formal Day, Student-Staff Luncheon and Time Capsule Ceremony – students dress in their best, take photos, enjoy lunch and memories with teachers, contribute items representing their Gray Academy experiences to the class time capsule.
- Grad Shabbat – a full Shacharit service led by Graduating Grade 12 students at a local synagogue
- Convocation – our meaningful, intimate graduation ceremony at a local synagogue
- Safe Grad Dinner Dance – an opportunity for graduates to celebrate with family and friends with dinner and dancing!
