Elementary at Gray Academy

A loving environment

Young children learn, grow and thrive in an environment of academic excellence framed by loving care, supportive encouragement and a strong sense of belonging. That is the environment you will find at Gray Academy.

What we learn

Elementary begins in Junior Kindergarten and continues through Grade 6. During these foundational years, students learn how to learn and how to be part of a community.  As they absorb critical concepts and master new skills, they also learn about kindness, respect, Jewish identity and values.

How we learn

Elementary students spend half of their day focusing on General Studies – math, science, English language arts, social studies, art, phys ed and music. The other half is spent on Judaic Studies – Hebrew, Israel, t’filah, tanach, holidays and Jewish history.

Throughout the learning day, concepts of both are woven together in creative ways that inspire critical thinking, collaboration, spiritual growth and community building.
