As we welcome students in JK through Grade 12 back to the Gray Academy building for a new school year, safeguarding the health and well-being of our entire school community remains, as always, our top priority.

Now more than ever before, parents/guardians are vital partners in keeping our students, staff and entire community safe.

Framework for Reopening Our School 2020-2021

We are very excited to welcome students back to their “home away from home.”

At the same time, we all know this coming school year will not be “business as usual.” Almost every routine and process at school is changing. Success will hinge on collaboration and cooperation among students, staff, faculty, administration and parents.

We ask that all families invest the time to carefully read (and read again!) our Framework for Reopening 2020-2021.

This is a critical document that outlines a very detailed plan for a safe return to school.

There is a lot of information to take in, including new health and safety protocols and instructions for new daily routines at school.

NOTE: all families will be required to provide written confirmation that they have read, understood and agree to follow the protocols and instructions outlined in our Framework.

This Document Will Continue to Evolve
The pandemic landscape in Manitoba continues to evolve daily. Gray Academy is prepared to respond to any and all changes that may be put forth by the Province. The protocols outlined in our Framework reflect what we know as of August 21, 2020.

More Details to Come
Leading up to the start of school, we will provide further information and details on specific protocols, as needed, including virtual back-to-school orientation sessions for families, as well as a request

Staff and students must self-screen daily for COVID-19 related symptoms and/or risk before entering the school. Click on the poster for self-screening criteria:
