Parental Contribution Explained
At Gray, we view tuition as a contribution to the future of our community. That’s why we call it the parental contribution. To make the school accessible to all members of our community, we have a sliding fee scale. Families pay a pre-determined amount of the parental contribution based on their total household income. If your annual household income is less that $165,000, then you will be offered bursary assistance to help cover the full parental contribution.
Below is the parental contribution for families who earn more that $165,000 for the 2019-2020 school year:
1st Child: $10,800
2nd Child: $10,800
3rd and Each Additional Child: $7,000

All or a portion of the parental contribution is tax deductible.
Parent Contribution When Applying From Outside of Canada
The application process is the same as for our Canadian families.
We understand that your first year in Canada may present financial challenges. Our community is committed to making education at our school accessible to the greatest number of students.
Below, you’ll find the cost to families who meet the new-to-Canada criteria for the 2019-2020 school year:
1st child: $4,100 CDN
2nd child: $2,200 CDN
3rd and additional child(ren): $1,000 each
To qualify to receive this bursary assistance you must meet these criteria:
- Family income in 2018 below $100,000 (Canadian equivalent)
- Expected family income in Canada for September 2019-August 2020 below $100,000 (Canadian equivalent)
- Assets below $100,000 (Canadian equivalent)
- New to Canada since January 1, 2019
